*In the shooting of this film, the glorious diamond ring that got lost at sea was not what everyone thought – it was a cubic zirconia ring that in real life actually is more brilliant than a diamond ring. That’s why when it dropped overboard, which it really did, the producers were not to alarmed. Nowadays they could just go online and buy another one. Ah, to be so extravagant – or rather to “appear” to be so extravagant.
